A customer usually brings his rusty rims early morning for powder coating to our shop and before we even touch them we give them the time to pick it up in the afternoon.

After a careful agreement on the customer's demands in respect to masking, thread protection, chrome finishing and desired color finishing, we immediately send the rims to media blasting.

Powder Coating and Media Blasting

After low pressure media blasting and careful inspection concerning metal exposure and verifying is completely free of left over or contaminants, we proceed to masking the motorcycle rims as specified by the customer demands.

After this process is completed, we pre-heating to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to allow crevices to open to apply the protective paint to prevent underneath surface from corrosion.

Powder Coating and Painting Rims

Once all customer masking requirements are completed, the motorcycle rims go to next inspection before any motorcycle rims powder coating is done.

We proceed like this to eliminate repetition on powder coating applications and to reduce delivery time.

We proceed to applying the powder coating color desired by the customer but with an application of a primer coating.

This is an Epoxy primer underneath the final coating and over the exposed bare metal surface, to protect the powder coated motorcycle rims from corrosion and assure the powder coating adhesion.

After this process is completed, we start powder coating your rims, following your requirements, step by step as defined on the agreement, and we finish the motorcycle powder coating rims to the desired customer color.

Powder Coating or Painting Quality Check

Then, we continued with the process to inspection, media blasting, preparation and masking to accomplish the powder coating to all its parts, including the rotors.

We masked them properly and hanged ready to shoot. Then, we started powder coating the custom coating to rims and rotors accordingly.

Now, we send the motorcycle rims and rotors to the curing oven.

After 45 to 50 minutes, the rims and rotors are completely finished.

Once they cool down, we continue the quality inspection process and if satisfied, wrap them up and deliver it to the customers.
